Internship R&D vegetable - Spain
Your tasks and responsibilities
The internship student will be involved in a project based on tomato leaves chlorophyll content related to yield. The importance of this study will represent a huge advance in breeding program, allowing to associate an early phenotyping with a final character. Intern will be implicated the protocol setting: take samples for chlorophyll quantitation, yield data and will be part in creation of the relation model between both characters (data analysis). Moreover, in this 6 months period the student will learn and carry out all tasks of a breeding program. Tasks, together with technicians, such as pollinations or seed harvesting. Analyse, together with RA, data generated from trials (screenings, pathology test). Evaluate, together with breeder and RA, external and internal trials.
